Cotton Candy & Connections: A Resource Night for Families

We want to invite you to a special night designed specifically to support our Dyslexia and Emergent Bilingual students and their families. This is a "Come and Go" style event, so please feel free to drop in whenever your schedule allows.

Whether you are looking for specific literacy tools or just want to see what resources are available in our community, this night is for you!

Event Details

  • When: Tuesday, March 31st
  • Time: 6 - 7 p.m. (Come and Go!)
  • Where: 2nd-4th Grade Cafeteria (2200 MacArthur Dr.)

What to Expect
  • Expert Advice: Meet with representatives from the McLennan County Library, Wandering Words Bookshop, and the Dyslexia Training & Evaluation Center of Waco.
  • Special Guest: We are thrilled to host Barbara Bridgewater, an expert and advocate in ESL and an ESL Instructor at MCC.
  • Free Books: Families with children ages 0–4 can sign up with Imagination Library of Waco to receive a free book every month.
  • Support Our Students: Browse our High School Student Market featuring goods and businesses run by our very own students.
  • Our Team: Members of the Rapoport Special Populations Team will be on-site and available to answer any questions you may have.

And of course... There will be FREE COTTON CANDY for everyone to enjoy!
