Four Headed to State in VASE Art Competition

We had 16 high school students compete at the regional Texas High School Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) this past weekend. The group earned a record 15 medals and 4 students qualified for state.

Congratulations to the following students who will go to state later this Spring:
Conrad Cunningham, Montanah Deleon, Lucy Ward and River Ward.

"We had such a great team this year," said Natalie Ward, HS Art Teacher. "We are so proud of the hard work of ALL of our students and their bravery to interview and be critiqued by a judge at the competition."

The Regional event brings more than 20 schools together with hundreds of art submissions. This makes advancing to state even more meaningful. Out of 202 art pieces in Division 1, only 17 advanced (including River, and Conrad). In Divison 2, there were 279 pieces and only 24 advanced. (including Lucy and Montanah)

Way to showcase your creativity and congratulations to all our Rapoport Academy artists!
